This year, I’m focusing on connections that energise, uplift, and drive impact

As the new year kicks in, many of us feel overwhelmed by the familiar pressure to write down resolutions, goals, targets, and "big plans for 2026", some of which are unrealistic or set up to fail. This year, I’m focusing my energy where it truly counts: on the relationships that allow me to support others, support my growth, and remind me of the shift from merely getting through life to genuinely thriving.

2026 will not be easy sailing. It is likely to test our resilience, adaptability, and creativity in ways we cannot yet predict. And in times like these, surrounding ourselves with experts, people with lived experience, and those who hold knowledge that stretches our thinking and creativity will make all the difference.

So here is what I choose: I will spend time mapping out my relationships.

• Which existing professional and personal ones need attention after a busy 2025?

• Which new connections could open doors, spark meaningful collaborations, or help me move closer to my aspiration to better our world and deepen impact?

Whether you are a philanthropist, leading an NGO, working in the private sector, or navigating our complex world, investing time in cultivating relationships is what makes the greatest difference. People don’t just support your goals; they elevate them, transform them, and shed new light on your thinking, your personal life, and your work.

I am continually inspired by philanthropists and organisations working to drive meaningful change, and I would love to explore how purpose and partnerships can accelerate impact.

Change always starts with a conversation, so please feel free to send me a message or let’s set up a chat: https://lnkd.in/dh7DXZbn

Here’s to a year of building high-value partnerships, one conversation at a time.
